Benchmark C is the first state-of-the-art oil centrifuge with Class I, Division 2 certification. It meets the requirements for ASTM D4007, ASTM D1796, ASTM D2709, ASTM D2273, ASTM D91, ASTM D96 and ASTM D893. It is ideal for laboratory settings or refineries using 100-mL capacity tube configurations.

The fully insulated Benchmark Centrifuge is usually installed on bench-tops for testing crude oil or refined petroleum products. The oil prevents heat loss and allows for more accurate temperature control. Its sturdy outer case is finished with a solvent-resistant powder coating. With a motor capable of operating at 2300 rpm and real-time temperature readings, this unit has unmatched precision in basic sediment and water (BS&W) determination. The digital programmable temperature controller (ambient inner bowl temperature up to 200F/93C) provides better process control for testing heavy crude oil. The integrated countdown timer, which shuts down the motor when a test is complete, reduces variation in testing. The internal programmable, solid-state motor controller enables linear acceleration, which results in more consistent testing. Specially designed collars, cushions and shields help reduce glass tube breakage at higher G-forces.

The Benchmark C features a latching emergency stop button and automatic locking lid (motor will not operate when lid is open; lid will not open while motor is running). The benchmark centrifuge is designed for oil and comes with a standard 4-place trunnion arm configuration (compatible with B, C, D or E style tubes) and is available in 120VAC or 240VAC. Because of its Class I, Division 2 certification, the unit requires hard-wiring.
