The Silver Digital Detection Imaging (AgDDI) device accurately and robustly rates the corrosion on silver coupons without the need for operating analyses known to be unreliable. The four-step automated VISION algorithm rates the silver corrosion on a scale of 0-4 defined by the ASTM. The AgDDI standardizes the process of silver corrosion testing reliably, ensuring fuels stay within acceptable limits.

In a small and sleek design, silver coupons undergo induced corrosion and then the silver strip is inserted into the AgDDI for determination and rating. The AgDDI works by measuring each pixel on both sides of the silver strip for sulfur-induced blackening and rating the coupon accordingly based on the scale from 0 (no corrosion) to 4 (significant blackening).

This device is fully compliant with ASTM 7691 making it the ideal unit for R&D, QC, and many more applications.
