<p>Designed with constancy and accuracy in mind, the stainless steel, low temperature viscosity bath is equipped with automatic defrosting mechanism and a digital micro-processor PID temperature regulator fitted with a PT100 A temperature probe, ensuring stable temperatures at 0.3C across a range from ambient to -40 C. The Brookfield viscometer houses an internal turntable, which positions samples into place, rotating at 4 RPM, and includes a rack for 3 test tubes and an insulated Balsa wood cell sample carrier.</p>

<p>The practical design of this falling sphere viscometer guarantees compliance with DIN 53 015 standards, for determining dynamic viscosities of Newtonian fluids ranging from 0.5 to 100.000 mPa.s (cP).</p>
<p>Designed with accuracy in mind, viscosities are determined by measuring the movement of a ball through a calibrated, fluid-filled fall tube. The stop pin permits reversal of movement for measurement of the return constant. <p>Designed with safety in mind, the stainless steel, open jacket viscosity bath is equipped with digital temperature regulation, over temperature alarm, an insulated double wall, and motorized agitator. A single gage fill point, visible from the outside of the standard tar viscometer, allows for easy fill without overflow while the internal light indicator alerts to low liquid levels. The stainless steel electric heating component and cooling coil allow for quick boiling and cooling of liquids, because your time is valuable.</p>
<p>The tar viscometer is available in models 140, 140/2 (2 positions), 140/3 (3 positions), and 140/4 (4 positions). Theviscometer accurately determines the time of efflux of 50 ml of cutback bitumen, at 40-60C, via a 10mm orifice, at a range of 15-500 seconds. With a capacity of approximately 7 liters, the 11 kg STV isequipped with brass oil cup with closing-ball ended rod to deliver accurate results.
