Durable. Dependable. Indispensable.
The innovative design of the Brookfield Viscometer guarantees compliance with ASTM D2983 requirements for the testing of low-temperature, low-shear rate lubricants.
Designed with constancy and accuracy in mind, the stainless steel, low temperature viscosity bath is equipped with automatic defrosting mechanism and a digital micro-processor PID temperature regulator fitted with a PT100 A temperature probe, ensuring stable temperatures at ±0.3ºC across a range from ambient to -40 ºC. The Brookfield viscometer houses an internal turntable, which positions samples into place, rotating at 4 RPM, and includes a rack for 3 test tubes and an insulated Balsa wood cell sample carrier.
The 150 kg Brookfield low temperature viscosity bath is equipped with four wheels and brake for easy mobility around the laboratory. The air bath is sealed with an anti-acid epoxidic coat, preventing corrosive damage to the instrument. Because operator safety is crucial, the viscometer is fitted with an earth leakage circuit, and refrigerant gases are CFC-free.
