Designed with the end-user in mind
The dependable design of Ayalytical Instruments’ grease penetrometer test ensures full compliance with ASTM D217, FTM 791-373, IP 50, and ISO 2137 testing regulations, for determining the cone penetration of semi-liquid lubricating greases.
This easy-to-operate cone penetrometer test equipment functions by repeatedly plunging a cone into the sample lubricating grease for a user-specified time at constant temperature, then measuring the depth of penetration of the cone. Built to last, the rugged grease penetrometer test comes equipped with brass body, a heavy-duty worker base plate, and screw cover with air valve and thermometer pass.
The simple yet reliable manual (single grease pot) cone penetrometer test equipment is ideal for short-duration testing, complete with piston and attached ground-slideway brass lever handle for operator-powered plunging. The automatic (single grease pot assembly) and automatic two-position (dual grease pot assembly) models significantly reduce operator labor while delivering steady, consistent strokes for extended-duration testing. These grease penetrometer test models come equipped with a monoface gear motor preset to 60 ASTM standardized strokes/min, a 6-digit automatic stroke-counting mechanism, and an automatic shut off device after a preset number of strokes. Whether for abbreviated or extended-duration testing, Ayalytical Instruments’ penetrometer test equipment provides the ideal solution for determining the penetration of lubricating greases.
