For the safe testing of boiling coolants
The simple, standardized design of the boiling point apparatus guarantees compliance with ASTM D1120 for determining the equilibrium boiling point of engine coolants.
The boiling point measurement apparatus consists primarily of a sturdy water-cooled, reflux, glass-tube condenser with a 200 mm long jacket and standard taper, drip-tip, male ground-glass joint. The boiling point determination apparatus’ electric heating mantle works quickly to bring samples to a boil in compliance with heating and refluxing rates specified in ASTM D1120.
Designed for simple use under equilibrium conditions at atmospheric pressure, the 3 kg boiling point measurement apparatus comes fully-equipped with a 100 mL, heat resistant glass flask with standard 19/38 tapered neck, female ground-glass joint, and 10 mm diameter side-entry tube, allowing the end of the thermometer device to be centrally positioned within the flask, approximately 6 mm from the bottom.
