Guaranteeing full compliance with ASTM D1551, DIN 51 768, and IP 63 requirements, this easy-to-operate combustion quartz tube furnace is ideal for determining the sulfur content of lubricating oil, heavy oil products, crude oil, petroleum oil coke, paraffin wax, and other various petroleum products with a sulfur content between 0.1 and 5.0%. Determination of sulfur content in petroleum products is essential for the prevention of coagulative residue and deposits that may clog engines and emit harmful gases.
Mounted on a heat-resistant, epoxy-coated plate, this safe, dependable combustion quartz tube apparatus is comprised of a stainless steel furnace with dual independent positions for the simultaneous testing of two samples. Each position is equipped with its own high-precision digital thermoregulator with K-type thermocouple for accurate temperature measurement and display. The intelligently designed ventilation trap features dual inlet cocks for oxygen intake and outlet cocks for the safe release of combustion gases. The two included transparent quarts tubes feature tapered inlet connections and spherical delivery connections for optimal flow regulation. Additional features of this quartz furnace include dual scrubbers for the easy removal of residue, primary and secondary support absorber, a vacuum collector with twin regulating valves, dual flow-off valves, dual LPH marker lamps, and a mesh flame filter for enhanced operator safety.
