Taking the labor out of testing
The revolutionary design of the semi-automatic freezing point apparatus guarantees compliance with ASTM D2386, DIN 51 421, IP 16, and ISO 3013 for the testing of aviation fuel freezing points, or the lowest temperature at which aviation fuels are free of solid hydrocarbon crystals that may impede the flow of the fuel during flight.
The easy-to- operate freezing point apparatus comes equipped with Dewar jacketed vacuum flask and sample tube for the safe handling of liquid nitrogen; stainless steel support; and silicone cork stopper with hole for thermometer. The instrument is available in 3 models:
•The manual freezing point apparatus (11 kg) comes complete with tripod stand and a clamp for holding the sample tube within the flask.
•The semi-automatic freezing point apparatus (11 kg) is sealed with an anti-acid epoxydic coat, preventing corrosive damage and ensuring durability for years to come. The cork stopper contains an additional hole to support the brass moisture-proof collar, through which the manual brass stirrer passes, joining to a geared motor for effortless automatic stirring at 70 RPM. The stir switch is located on the base of the unit for easy accessibility.
•The freestanding, semi-automatic freezing point apparatus with 2 positions (38 kg) is capable of testing two samples at a time. It is sealed with an anti-acid epoxydic coat, preventing corrosive damage and ensuring durability for years to come. The cork stopper contains an additional hole to support the brass moisture-proof collar, through which the manual brass stirrer passes, joining to a geared motor for effortless automatic stirring at 70 RPM. Two stir switches are located on the base of the unit for easy accessibility.
