The simple and efficient design of the Density Hydrometer Bath guarantees full compliance with ASTM D287, ASTM D1298, IP 160, and ISO 3675, for determining API (specific) gravity of crude petroleum and petroleum products in accordance with American Petroleum Institute standards.

Designed to be safe, accurate, and efficient, the Borosilicate density bath is equipped with constant digital microprocessor PID temperature regulation and an overtemperature alarm. The liquid indicator, visible from the outside of the specific gravity tester, allows for easy fill without overflow while the internal light indicator alerts to low liquid levels. The stainless steel electric heating component allows for the quick boiling of liquids while the cooling coil provides improved control near ambient temperatures. The digital thermoregulator PID temperature control maintains ±0.01ºC for when stability is critical.

This sturdy, easy-to- operate Density Hydrometer Bath comes equipped with Borosilicate tank, five-hole cover for multiple test tubes, stainless steel standby covers, motorized agitator, test tubes blocking system, tempered glass leakage protection vessel, stainless steel base, and stainless steel control box.

Available in two models, this durable and dependable specific gravity tester covers working temperatures ranging from ambient to 150ºC. Model 550/300, for hydrometer cylinders O54 ×300 mm, boasts a capacity of approximately 16 liters, and weighs approximately 20 kg; model 450/450, for hydrometer cylinders O65 ×420 mm, boasts a capacity of approximately 23 liters, and weighs approximately 30 kg.
