Designed for precision, adjustable to perfection
Ensuring compliance with ASTM D6560, DIN 51 959, and IP 143, Ayalytical Instruments’ asphaltenes extraction apparatus is ideal for the determination of the heptane insoluble asphaltene content of gas oil, diesel fuel, residual fuel oils, lubricating oil, bitumen, and crude petroleum that has reached a max oil temperature of 260ºC. The asphaltenes extraction apparatus determines asphaltenes in fuel oil by first mixing a portion of the test sample with heptane before heating the mixture under reflux, removing the precipitated asphaltenes, then washing the removed substances with hot heptane in the extractor. Once any asphaltenes in fuel oil are separated, they are measured for content analysis.
This easy-to- operate extraction apparatus comes equipped with all required implements for this extraction procedure, including an electric heater component with support rod and clamps for maximum stability, a reflux extractor with 24/40 and 34/45 ground-glass joints for high-precision content analyses, a 500 ml Erlenmeyer flask for the safe collection and accurate measurement of test materials, a 34/45 condenser for the quick cooling of hot air and fluids, and a glass stopper for leakage protection. When content analysis is high on your priority list, turn to Ayalytical Instruments’ asphaltenes extraction apparatus to get the job done.
