LPG VAPOR PRESSURE TESTING AT ITS BEST
Gathering information on the vapor pressure of liquified petroleum gas (LPG) has never been more important for the choice of storage tanks and shipping vessels. Safety is a top priority, and it needs to be measured so that the maximum design pressure of storage and handling systems of this automatic vapor pressure tester isn’t exceeded under normal operating conditions.
For accurate and precise LPG vapor pressure testing, Eralytics created the ERAVAP LPG vapor pressure analyzer with an increased standard operating range up to 2,000 kPa and a quick-fit inlet system which allows connecting to pressurized cylinders with ease. ERAVAP LPG covers the model series’ temperature range of -20 °C to 120 °C and is fully compliant with ASTM D6897.
This leading-edge measurement principle in vapor pressure testing renders the external vacuum pump obsolete. The built-in piston draws in the sample at the beginning of the measurement. The piston then creates a vacuum by expanding the headspace above the sample to the predefined vapor to liquid (V/L) ratio. The vapor pressure analyzer then heats up the measurement cell to the measurement temperature and records the vapor pressure.
*To to improve measurement procedures to maximize safety in crude oil transportation, ERAVAP manufacturer Eralytics closely cooperates with Canadian Crude Quality Technical Association (CCQTA) and the American Crude Oil Quality Association (COQA), a partnership that resulted in the development of a device capable of measuring crude oil at a V/L ratio as low as 0.02/1.
