Introducing the ANA: Automated NACE Apparatus (ANA)
The Automated NACE Apparatus (ANA) is a groundbreaking device designed for the preparation of corrosion specimens for ASTM and NACE testing methods. The ANA sets a new standard in corrosion testing automation, offering unparalleled accuracy, ease of use, and efficiency. Its fully automated design eliminates manual handling errors, ensuring compliance with industry standards while saving operator time.
ANA automates the critical steps of NACE TM0172, ASTM D665, and ASTM D7548, ensuring precision, repeatability, and operator efficiency. Automated specimen preparation and testing include liquid handling with a peristaltic dispensing pump, specimen placement after temperature stabilization, stirring, and removing the specimen after the test completion to eliminate manual steps prone to error.
The electro-mechanical head includes a temperature probe, stainless steel mixing motor, and automated specimen holder for precise operation. A built-in reservoir ensures easy water handling, with automated dispensing and draining. A touchscreen interface with intuitive software and in-built methods simplifies operation, requiring minimal training. Factory-calibrated temperature, speed, and timing parameters ensure consistent and reliable results. The temperature range for the ANA is 30°C to 100°C, with a maximum mixing speed of 1,000 RPM. The ANA is ideal for laboratories with space constraints, featuring a lightweight, benchtop-friendly structure. The design is compact with dimensions of 15” H x 8” W x 15” D (38 x 20 x 38 cm) and a weight of 10 lbs (4.5 kg).
