This sturdy, easy-to- operate penetrometer functions by testing the change in worked penetrations after being subjected to mechanical shear for a predetermined period of time at constant temperature.
The efficient design of this penetrometer features a thermostatic cabin for the simultaneous testing of up to four sample cylinders, allowing for superior work performance over the single and dual-sample models of competitors. The constant digital microprocessor PID digital thermoregulator quickly adjusts and maintains temperatures from ambient to 200ºC, and features an over temperature alarm for enhanced operator safety and the prevention of sample overheating. Additional features of this 39 kg penetrometer include digital timer and automatic shutoff to ensure accurate testing periods, 160 RPM speed geared motor for steady, consistent rotation of test cylinders, and solid base with rolling supports for easy mobility and rotation.
