Accurate results in a flash
The innovative designs of the various Pensky-Martens Flash Point apparatuses guarantee compliance with ASTM D93, ASTM E502, DIN 51 758, EN 22719, IP 34, ISO 2719, and ISO 15267, for determining the lowest temperature at which sample vapors ignite when a gas or electric ignition source is presented. Various models are ideal for the closed-cup flash point testing of biodiesel, diesel, heating fuels and oils, turbine fuels, kerosene, residual fuel oils, and other flammable fluids.
The Pensky-Martens flash point apparatus is available in six models to meet all your flash point testing needs:
• Model 750/E – Manual Pensky-Martens with gas ignition
• Model 50E/IE – Manual Pensky-Martens with electric ignition
• Model 750/BIS – Digital Pensky-Martens with gas ignition
• Model 750/BIS/IE – Digital Pensky-Martens with electric ignition
Designed to last, both gas and electric ignition flash point testers feature an anti-acid epoxydic coat, preventing corrosive damage to the instrument. Samples are heated quickly and steadily via electronic regulator, ensuring optimal testing procedures in compliance with multiple aforementioned regulations. These Pensky-Martens flash point apparatuses come equipped with calibrated brass test cup and cover with device for gas or electric ignition via manual trip-opening motor for procedures A and B. Additional features include brass air bath with external stainless steel calotte and cooling fan for quick cool down between test runs.
Digital models include digital thermometer for increased accuracy, PT100A glass probe, and motorized agitator for reduced operator labor.
• Model 750SEM – Sempen Sky-Martins semi-automatic
• Model 750/AUT – Pensky-Martens automatic
The semi-automatic and automatic models are ideal for flash point testing of biodiesel products (procedure C). The advanced design of these models features an automatic temperature ramp, PT100A glass probe, electrical or gas ignition, real time operating system (SDM software), network connection, remote control operation, high-resolution touch screen display, 500 test capacity memory, and choice ºC or ºF display.
The automatic model features a high response and accuracy flash detector and atmospheric pressure sensor, automatically correcting to standard pressure (± .1ºC kPa precision). Fully automated, this model simplifies and expedites flash point testing for both novice and experienced operators.
