PAMAS S50 / Online particle monitoring

Cost-effective monitoring.
High-performance analysis.

Eight particle size channels, reported in real time
Fully compliant with ISO 4406 and ISO 11171

PAMAS S50 laser-based online particle monitoring system

Simple integration into industrial data systems

The PAMAS S50 is a cost-effective, high-performance, laser-based online particle monitoring system with simple integration into industrial data management systems. Fully compliant with methods ISO 4406 and ISO 11171, the PAMAS S50 measures the cleanliness of mineral and synthetic oils in different industrial environments. Its rugged construction makes it resistant against mechanical, environmental, and electrical threats.

High-resolution measurement

Accurate flow.
Real-time particle data.

Automatic digital flow rate determination behind every reading.

An automatic digital flow rate determination provides accurate measurement results. The PAMAS S50 counts particles with high resolution in eight particle size channels, available via the data interface for report in real time to the PC.

ISO 4406 cleanliness code.

The triple code according to the cleanliness class standard ISO 4406 is indicated on the instrument display.

Displayed channels

  • Greater than 4 µm(c)
  • Greater than 6 µm(c)
  • Greater than 14 µm(c)

Precision + Range

Every channel.
Every reading counted.

The PAMAS HX volumetric sensor is calibrated to 4–70 µm(c) per ISO 11171, reading triple codes from 0/0/0 to 22/22/22 per ISO 4406 at a maximum particle concentration of 24,000 p/mL. Data transfers over a standard RS 485 interface, with an optional analog 4–20 mA interface available for condition monitoring.

Built for continuous monitoring.

The sensor handles fluids up to 1000 cSt and up to 60°C at a 20°C ambient temperature, across a pressure range of 0.2–20 bar without a pump or 0–6 bar with one.

At a glance

  • Viscosity up to 1000 cSt
  • Max fluid temperature 60°C
  • RS 485 standard, 4–20 mA optional
  • 24,000 p/mL max concentration

Condition monitoring

Eight channels.
Early alerts.

  1. 01

    Particle Monitoring

Measures the particle number in eight different channels while providing early alerts.

  2. 02

    Condition Monitoring

May serve as an interface for condition monitoring, transferring four analog signals — 4–20 mA — to a PC.

  3. 03

    PAMAS S50P

An additional option with an integrated pump for flow control at a constant flow of 25 mL/min.
